Beatrice, known as Beattie, was born on August 3rd, 1865 in Hooley Hill and her baptism took place on April 19th, 1868 in Audenshaw.¹²

Beattie's father was Benjamin Buckley and her mother was Patience (Patricia) Oldham. Her paternal grandparents were John Buckley and Mary Crook; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Oldham and Sarah Hewitt. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Henry, Silas, Arthur, Sarah, Martha, Mary, Emma, Ellen, Edith and Sarah. She was the eighth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 75 in January 1941 in Lancaster.³

- Beatrice (Beattie) Buckley ran Buckley & Co. Photographers at 134 Guide Lane Hooley Hill (previously owned by her mother Patience who use to often visit America). She married Willoughby Hamson who was a photographer. She had a daughter name Patience Hamson who married Archibald Hastie.

      Still there in 1861 with larger family, but by now it is called Guide Road.
      The whole family (all sons and daughters) are still there in 1871, now called Guide Lane again.
      
      In 1881, the house number is also recorded (as 42). Only Patiens and the 4 youngest children, Ellen, Edith, Bertrice, and Silas remain.
