Harriet's father was George Brooks and her mother was Agnes Almond. Her paternal grandparents were Charles Brooks and Ann Price. She had five brothers and four sisters, named John, William, George, Robert, Charles, Mary, Eliza, Annie and Alice. She was the oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 93 on March 6th, 1997 in Massachusetts (MA).²
