      27 1842 Aged 2 years and 8 months.
      Also John their son died March 28
      1842 Aged 4 Years 10 Months.
      Also of ELLEN wife of the above
      Richard Brereton who died Feb 23rd
      1873 aged 72 years.
      Also the above RICHARD BRERETON
      who died Feb 18th 1883 Aged 81 years.
      Also Martha Brereton youngest daughter
      of the above deid Feb 8th 1921
      aged 79 years
Martha was born in July 1839 in Harthill and her baptism took place on September 29th, 1839 at All Saints, Harthill.1  Martha's father was Richard Brereton and her mother was (Elizabeth) Ellen Lea.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard Brereton and Elizabeth (Betty) Haywood; her maternal grandparents were John Lea and Ester Ellen Lea. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Richard, John, Ester, Sarah, Elizabeth, Anne and Martha.  She died due to a childhood disease at the age of 2 on March 27th, 1842 in Great Boughton.  She was buried in Harthill.2 2
