Hannah was born in June 1849 in Entwistle.¹

Birth Notes

Hannah's father was James Holder Bowling and her mother was Maria Mather. Her maternal grandparents were James Mather and Rachel Hamer. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Joseph, James, Timothy, James, Thomas, Nanny, Ellen, Rachel, Sarah and Francis. She was the oldest of the eleven children.
