Sarah Elizabeth Bowling

Sarah was born in June 1862 in Belmont.¹

Sarah's father was James Holder Bowling and her mother was Maria Mather. Her maternal grandparents were James Mather and Rachel Hamer. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Joseph, James, Timothy, James, Thomas, Hannah, Nanny, Ellen, Rachel and Francis. She was the eighth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 88 in October 1950 in Darwen.²
