Firth Bottomley

Firth was born in 1833 in Upperthong.¹ Firth's father was Joshua Bottomley and his mother was Hannah Crosland. His maternal grandparents were Daniel Crosland and Mary Kinder. He had six brothers and four sisters, named John, Wright, Edward, Appleyard, Wilson, Joseph, Mary, Jane, Emma and Eliza. He was the third oldest of the eleven children.
