Appleyard Bottomley

Appleyard was born in December 1842 in Austonley.¹

Appleyard's father was Joshua Bottomley and his mother was Hannah Crosland. His maternal grandparents were Daniel Crosland and Mary Kinder. He had six brothers and four sisters, named John, Firth, Wright, Edward, Wilson, Joseph, Mary, Jane, Emma and Eliza. He was the eighth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 72 in June 1915 in Saddleworth.¹
