Edward was born in March 1839 in Huddersfield.¹

Birth Notes

Edward's father was Joshua Bottomley and his mother was Hannah Crosland. His maternal grandparents were Daniel Crosland and Mary Kinder. He had six brothers and four sisters, named John, Firth, Wright, Appleyard, Wilson, Joseph, Mary, Jane, Emma and Eliza. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 1 in June 1840 in Huddersfield.¹
