Doris Ashall

Doris was born in January 1902 in Halliwell and her baptism took place on April 6th, 1902 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

Doris' father was John Henry Ashall and her mother was Louisa Pennington. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Pennington and Martha Mather. She had a brother and six sisters, named Harry, Elsie, Lily, Jessie, Alice, Evelyn and Phylis. She was the fifth oldest of the eight children.
