Grace was born on October 3rd, 1914 in Nuneaton, Warwickshire and her baptism took place on October 23rd, 1914 in St.Mary Abbey Church, Nuneaton, Warwickshire.1  Grace's father was John Thomas LONG and her mother was Maggie HALL.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert LONG and Sarah PEARCE; her maternal grandparents were George HALL and Margaret Crowley SHILTON. She had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Stanley, Reginald, George, Maggie, Lily, Beatrice and Dorothy.  She was the oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 64 on December 3rd, 1978 in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.
