George was born on November 18th, 1830 in Atherstone, Warwickshire and his baptism took place there on March 17th, 1833.1   George's father was Elijah HALL and his mother was Sarah SILVESTER.  His paternal grandparents were John HALL and Sarah PLANT; his maternal grandparents were William SILVESTER and Mary PARKER. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, Elijah, Amos, Mary, Jane, Susannah, Fanny and Louisa.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 44 in 1874 in Leicester, Leicestershire.1
