Sarah was born in 1776 in Mancetter, Warwickshire and her baptism took place there on March 18th, 1776.¹   Sarah's father was Thomas PLANT and her mother was Sarah OUGHTON.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas PLANT and Martha <UNKNOWN>. She had a brother and two sisters, named William, Martha and Sarah.  She was the youngest of the four children.
