Elijah was born in 1805 in Atherstone, Warwickshire and his baptism took place on September 20th, 1805 in Mancetter, Warwickshire.1   Elijah's father was John HALL and his mother was Sarah PLANT.  His paternal grandparents were John HALL and Catherina WILLSON; his maternal grandparents were Thomas PLANT and Sarah OUGHTON. He had six brothers and a sister, named William, Samuel, John, Henry, Benjamin, Joseph and Charlotte.  He was the oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 62 in March 1867 in Atherstone, Warwickshire.1
