Charlotte was born on April 16th, 1820 in Mancetter, Warwickshire.  Charlotte's father was John HALL and her mother was Sarah PLANT.  Her paternal grandparents were John HALL and Catherina WILLSON; her maternal grandparents were Thomas PLANT and Sarah OUGHTON. She had seven brothers named Elijah, William, Samuel, John, Henry, Benjamin and Joseph.  She was the second youngest of the eight children.
