Fanny was born on June 18th, 1840 in Atherstone, Warwickshire and her baptism took place there on April 4th, 1841.¹ Fanny's father was Elijah HALL and her mother was Sarah SILVESTER. Her paternal grandparents were John HALL and Sarah PLANT; her maternal grandparents were William SILVESTER and Mary PARKER. She had four brothers and four sisters, named George, Thomas, Elijah, Amos, Mary, Jane, Susannah and Louisa. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 83 in 1923 in Kamo,Whangarei, New Zealand.²
