William Orr

William was born on April 21st, 1771 in NC.¹   William's father was Alexander Orr and his mother was Martha.  His paternal grandfather was Arthur Orr; his maternal grandfather was Hugh McCain. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Hugh, Alexander Jr, Margaret Peggy, Jane, Elizabeth, Martha, Mary Polly, Nancy and Isabel(Lolia)(Ila)Orr.  He was the oldest of the ten children. He had eight half-brothers and four half-sisters, named William, John, Robert, James, Andrew, Alexander, David, Patrick, Elizabeth, Mary Polly, Mary Margaret and Nancy M.  He died at the age of 68 on October 22nd, 1839 in Caldwell Co., KY.¹
