Maria Margaretha Troxell 
Maria Margaretha was born on October 25th, 1744 in Near Egypt, Bucks Co., PA. Maria Margaretha's father was Peter Trachsel and her mother was Juliana Catharina Deshler. Her paternal grandparents were Jakob+ Trachsel and Margaretha+ Brengal; her maternal grandfather was David Deshler and her maternal grandmother is Marie Wister. She had six brothers and a sister, named Peter Johannes, Daniel Johannes, David, Johannes Michael or John Peter, Christian, George Frederick and Juliana Margaretha. She was the youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 69 on April 2nd, 1814 in Preston Co., WV.General Notes
Margaretha was baptised on Dec. 21, 1744 at Egypt RefOrned Church. Sponsors: George Kern, Lorenz Guth, Michel Hoffman, Anna Barbara Neuhart, Appolonia Toeachler, and Maria Margaretha Neuhart. Margaretha is believed to be the first confirmation into the new Jordan Church, built in 1752. She and her family moved to the area of Aurora in W. VA, about 1786.
