Jakob+ was born in Lenk, Berne, Switzerland and his baptism took place on March 5th, 1652 in Lenk, Canton of Berne. Jakob+'s father was Hans Jakob+ Trachsel and his mother was Elizabeth+ Gunset. His paternal grandparents were Hans+ Trachsel and Anna+ Brechten; his maternal grandfather was Heinrich+ Gunset and his maternal grandmother is Christina+ Brechten. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Hans, Heinrich, Gweer, Peter, Christian, Casper, Benedict, Ulrich, Elsbeth and Anna. He died on December 24th, 1721 in Wolfersheim, Germany.
