According to "Wyoming & Lackawanna Valleys, Pennsylvania Genealogies & Family Histories" Volume 1,Stephen`s contemporary relation, Balthazer Trachsel, was among the "11 priests of Sweitz" in 1522, advocating the doctrine of the Reformer. He was a pastor of the town of Art.
