Johannes Michael or John Peter Troxell 
Johannes Michael or John Peter was born in October 1736 in Egypt, Bucks Co., PA. Johannes Michael or John Peter's father was Peter Trachsel and his mother was Juliana Catharina Deshler. His paternal grandparents were Jakob+ Trachsel and Margaretha+ Brengal; his maternal grandfather was David Deshler and his maternal grandmother is Marie Wister. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Peter Johannes, Daniel Johannes, David, Christian, George Frederick, Juliana Margaretha and Maria Margaretha. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 59 in 1795 in Scott Co., KY.General Notes
John was baptised on Oct. 26, 1736. Sponsors were: Nicholaus Kern, Johannes Engender, and Margaretha Egender. It is thought that this is the John Troxell who led a group of travelers to Frederick, MD in 1758, at the age of 22. John was a private in Captain Reitz`s Eighth Co. of Col. Stephen Baillot`s (Balliot) batallion, enlisting 7/22/1781.
