Sophie Von Der was born on October 13th, 1630 in 's Gravenhage, Zuid Holland, Netherlands. Sophie Von Der's father was Friedrich Henry V Von Der Pfalz and her mother was Elizabeth Stewart. Her paternal grandparents were Friedrich IV Von Der Pfalz and Louise Juliana Van Oranje-Nassau; her maternal grandparents were James Stewart and Anne Von Oldenburg. She had two brothers named Karl Ludwig I Von Der and Eduard Von Der. She was the youngest of the three children. She died at the age of 83 on June 8th, 1714 in Herrenhausen, Hannover, Prussia.
