Marie De was born on November 22nd, 1515 in Bar-Le-Duc, Mause, France.  Marie De's father was Claude I De Lorraine and her mother was Antoinette De Bourbon.  Her paternal grandparents were Rene II De Lorraine and Philippa D' Egmont; her maternal grandparents were Francois De Bourbon and Marie De Luxembourg. She had three brothers named Francois I De, Claude II De and Rene De.  She was the oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 44 on June 10th, 1560 in Edinburgh Castle, Mid-Lothian, Scotland.  She was buried on October 19th, 1560 in St. Peter's Church, Rheims, Champagne, France.

‌Marie De and Louis II D' were married in a religious ceremony on August 4th, 1534 in Louvres, France.  They had two sons named Francois III D' and Louis D'.


Marie De's second family with James V Stewart

‌Marie De and James V were married in a religious ceremony on June 12th, 1538.  They had two sons and a daughter, named James, Arthur and Mary.
