Isaac was born about 1776 in Guilford, NC. Isaac's father was Thomas Cook and his mother was Mary Mills. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Cook and Mary+ Underwood; his maternal grandparents were John+ Mills and Sarah+ Beals. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Thomas, John, Jacob, William, Zimri, Nathan, Sarah and Elizabeth. He is the third oldest of the ten children.General Notes
