Margaret was born in 1262 in Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.1   Margaret's father was William de Fiennes Knight and her mother was Blanche de Brienne , Dame de Loupelande.  Her paternal grandfather was Ingelram de Fiennes and her paternal grandmother is Maud Hampden; her maternal grandparents were Jean de Brienne , Grand Butler of France and Jeanne de Châteaudun. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Robert, John de, Robert De, Joan de and Alice de.  She was the oldest of the six children.1 


Margaret's family with Edmund De Mortimer Lord of Wigmore

‌Margaret and Edmund De were married in a religious ceremony about 1285 in Of, Fiennes, Bolonois, France.1   They had five sons and six daughters, named Roger, Hugh De, Walter De, Edmund II de, John De, Iswolde de, Maude, Matilda, Joan De, Margaret and Elizabeth.
