Joan de was born about 1273 in , Blisworth, Northampshire, England. Joan de's father was William de Fiennes Knight and her mother was Blanche de Brienne , Dame de Loupelande. Her paternal grandfather was Ingelram de Fiennes and her paternal grandmother is Maud Hampden; her maternal grandparents were Jean de Brienne , Grand Butler of France and Jeanne de Châteaudun. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Robert, John de, Robert De, Margaret and Alice de. She was the third oldest of the six children. She died in 1309.-
