Blanche was born in 1249 in Courtrain, Mynn, France.1 Blanche's father was Jean de Brienne , Grand Butler of France and her mother was Jeanne de Châteaudun. Her paternal grandparents were Count Jean Brienne King of Jerusalem and Berengaria Alfonsez Princess of Leon; her maternal grandparents were Geoffrey IV Vicmte de Chateaudun and Clemence Des Roches. She had a sister named Béatrix de. She was the younger of the two children. She died at the age of 53 in 1302. She was buried in 1302.1 1 General Notes
