Edmund II de was born about 1298 in Of, Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.1 Edmund II de's father was Edmund De Mortimer Lord of Wigmore and his mother was Margaret de Fiennes. His paternal grandparents were Roger de Mortimer , Lord of Wigmore and Maud de Braose; his maternal grandparents were William de Fiennes Knight and Blanche de Brienne , Dame de Loupelande. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Roger, Hugh De, Walter De, John De, Iswolde de, Maude, Matilda, Joan De, Margaret and Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the eleven children.
