Simon De was born about 1043.  Simon De's father was "The Magnificent" Duke Of Normandy Robert I and his mother was Ermengarde Countess & Gastinois d' Anjou.  His paternal grandparents were 'the Good' 4th Duke of Normandy Richard II and Judith Princess of Brittany; his maternal grandparents were Ct. (Fulk) "the Black" Comte d' Anjou (Le Noir (the Black)) Foulques III and of Lorraine Countess of Anjou Hildegarde. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Henry De, Robert De, Hughes De, Aldegarde De, Constance De and Hildegarde De.  He was the second youngest of the seven children. He had ten half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Ralph Count of, "The Conqueror" King of England, Ives (Ivo) de, Geoffroy III Count, Count Le Barbu, TheRude, Count Of Anjou, Hugues Prince Of, Duke Of Rainault Henri, Robert Prince Of, Simon Prince O f, Adelaide Countess of, Hildegarde, De Gastinois, Duchess Of Burgandy and Hildegarde Princess France Countess.  He died after 1087.
