Some trees show his mother as Emiliane, not Edgifu. The Directory ofRoyal Genealogy shows his mother as Emiliane. WFT 4, Trees #0008 and#0902 and WFT 10, Tree #1161 show Emiline as a sister of Edgift (orEdgifu) and a dau of Edward the Elder. The Directory of Royal Genealogy,however, does not show a daughter named Emiliane. Teh Ancestry.com showsthe same year of marriage for Emiline and Edgifu, apparently treatingthem as the same person. The Directory, however, lists all three.
