Margaret was born about 1459.1 Margaret's father was Sir Philip of Molland Courtenay and her mother was Elizabeth Hingeston. Her paternal grandparents were Sir Philip Courtenay and Elizabeth Hungerford; her maternal grandfather was Robert Hingeston. She had three brothers and a sister, named John of Molland, Philip, Wiliam of Loughton and Elizabeth. She was the second oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother named Robert.General Notes
