Philip De was born about 1346 in Exeter, Devonshire, Eng.1   Philip De's father was Hugh Courtenay and his mother was Margaret De Bohun.  His paternal grandparents were Hugh De Courtenay and Agnes Saint John; his maternal grandparents were Humphrey De Bohun and Elizabeth Princess Of England. He had seven brothers and nine sisters, named Sir Edward, Sir Thomas, Sir Peter, William, John, Sir Humphrey, Sir Hugh, Margaret, Joan de, Elizabeth, Catherine, Matilda, Eleanor, Guinora, Isabell and Phillipa.  He died on July 29th, 1406 in Powderham Castle, St Thomas, Devonshire, England.1

‌Philip De and Anne were married in a religious ceremony about 1380.1   They had three sons and two daughters, named Richard, Sir John, Sir William, Agnes and Margaret.
