John De Courtenay

John was born on July 26th, 1224 in Okehampton, Devonshire, England.¹ John's father was Robert De Courtenay Baron Okehampton and his mother was Mary De Reviers. His paternal grandparents were Renaud II Lord De Courtney and Hawise De Courcy; his maternal grandparents were William Baron De Vernon and Mabel De Beaumont. He had a brother and two sisters, named William, Hawise and Egeline. He was the second oldest of the four children. He had a half-brother named William. He died at the age of 49 on May 3rd, 1274. He was buried on May 5th, 1274 in Ford Abbey, Devonshire, England.¹¹
