William Courtenay 
William was born in 1342 in St. Martins, Exeter, Devon.1 William's father was Hugh Courtenay and his mother was Margaret De Bohun. His paternal grandparents were Hugh De Courtenay and Agnes Saint John; his maternal grandparents were Humphrey De Bohun and Elizabeth Princess Of England. He had seven brothers and nine sisters, named Sir Edward, Sir Thomas, Sir Peter, John, Philip De, Sir Humphrey, Sir Hugh, Margaret, Joan de, Elizabeth, Catherine, Matilda, Eleanor, Guinora, Isabell and Phillipa. He died at the age of 54 on July 31st, 1396 in Maidstone, Kent.1 General Notes
