John of Molland Courtenay 
John of Molland was born about 1467 in Molland, Devon.1 John of Molland's father was Sir Philip of Molland Courtenay and his mother was Elizabeth Hingeston. His paternal grandparents were Sir Philip Courtenay and Elizabeth Hungerford; his maternal grandfather was Robert Hingeston. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Philip, Wiliam of Loughton, Elizabeth and Margaret. He was the third oldest of the five children. He had a half-brother named Robert.
