Frances Mayo 
Frances was born in 1847 in Edgecombe Co. NC. Frances' father was Reuben Mayo and her mother was Lucinda Best. Her paternal grandfather was Frederick Mayo; her maternal grandparents were William Best and Penelope Edmondson. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Frederick A., William A., Thomas L., John, R. Hardy, Martha A., Lydia, Elizabeth and Sallie Lucinda. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.-
