Burell Land 
Burell was born in 1794 in Tar River, Edgecombe Co., North Carolina. Burell's father was Littleberry Land and his mother was Mary "Molly" McLemore. His paternal grandparents were Bird Land and Rebekah Lewellin; his maternal grandparents were Burwell B. McLemore and Amy Gilliam. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Daniel, Bird, Sally, Amy and Mary "Polly". He was the second oldest of the six children. He died before 1840 in Noxubee County, Mississippi.-
