James D. Land 
James D. was born in 1825 in NC. James D.'s father was Burell Land and his mother was Lucy Matilda Williams. His paternal grandparents were Littleberry Land and Mary "Molly" McLemore. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Littleberry John, Henry Grey, William Burt, David A., Mary Jane, Mary Katherine and Evalina. He was the oldest of the eight children.-
