Mary Jane Land 
Mary Jane was born in 1833 in Edgecombe Co. NC. Mary Jane's father was Burell Land and her mother was Lucy Matilda Williams. Her paternal grandparents were Littleberry Land and Mary "Molly" McLemore. She had five brothers and two sisters, named James D., Littleberry John, Henry Grey, William Burt, David A., Mary Katherine and Evalina. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.-
