Bird Land 
Bird was born about 1800 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. Bird's father was Littleberry Land and his mother was Mary "Molly" McLemore. His paternal grandparents were Bird Land and Rebekah Lewellin; his maternal grandparents were Burwell B. McLemore and Amy Gilliam. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Daniel, Burell, Sally, Amy and Mary "Polly". He was the third oldest of the six children. He died before 1850 in Noxubee County, Mississippi.-
