Robert II was born on March 2nd, 1316 in Dundonald,Kyle,Ayrshire,Scotland.  Robert II's father was Walter High Steward Scotland and his mother was Marjorie Princess of Scotland.  His paternal grandparents were James , 5th High Steward of Scots Stewart and Egidia (Giles) de Burgh; his maternal grandparents were Robert I "The Bruce" King Of Scotland and Isabell Mar Queen of Scotland.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 74 on April 19th, 1390 in Dundonald Castle,Dundonald,Ayrshire,Scotland.  He was buried in 1390 in Scone Abbey,Scone,Perthshire,Scotland.
