Helen Verch was born about 1206 in of,Gwynedd,Wales.1   Helen Verch's father was Llewelyn Ap Iorwerth Prince of Wales and her mother was Joan of England Princess of North Wales.  Her paternal grandparents were Iorwerth "Drwyndwn" ap Owain and Margred Verch Madog; her maternal grandparents were John, "Lackland" ("Lackland") Plantagenet King of England and Agatha de Ferrers. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Tegwared-y-Bais Wen ap Llywelyn, Dafydd ap Llywelyn , Prince of Gwynedd, Dafydd Prince N Wales, Gwladus, Angharad verch Llywelyn , of Wales, Margred Verch, Angharad, Margaret Verch and Marared Drwyndon verch Llywelyn , of Wales. She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Gruffydd Ap, Gruffydd ap Llywelyn , Lord Lleyn, Gwladys Verch, Gwladus Ddu "the Dark verch Llywelyn, Gwenllian verch Llywelyn and Margaret.  She died before October 24th, 1253 in of,Chester,Cheshire,England.1
