Mary Maude Miller 
Mary Maude was born on June 18th, 1890 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Mary Maude's father was James Alexander Miller and her mother was Emma Jane McEwen. Her paternal grandparents were Andrew Jackson Miller and Elvonea V. Logan; her maternal grandparents were George Washington McEwen and Mary Catherine Sears. She had three brothers and five sisters, named George Washington, Andrew Jackson, Rack, Ellen Cathren, Martha Mable, Emma Catherine, Lucy Norton and Arsual Annette. She was the third oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 87 on October 3rd, 1977 in AL. She was buried in Unity Presbyterian Cemetery, Weogufka, Coosa Co., AL.1 1 General Notes

"Mr. and Mrs A. L. Thompson, of Weogufka, visited the latter's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Miller, here last week. Mrs. Miller is on the sick list, but
is improving.(1)

"WEOGUFKA HOME IS DESTROYED BY FIRE
The home of Mrs. Maude Thompson of Weogufka was completely destroyed
by fire Saturday. It is reported that the explosion of an oil stove
caused the conflagration. Friends and neighbors who rushed to the scene
were able to save some of the furnishings. The house has just been
remodeled and redecorated. According to a report the house and furniture
were not covered by insurance."
