George Washington Miller 
George Washington was born on October 25th, 1886 in Coosa Co., AL.1 George Washington's father was James Alexander Miller and his mother was Emma Jane McEwen. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Jackson Miller and Elvonea V. Logan; his maternal grandparents were George Washington McEwen and Mary Catherine Sears. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Andrew Jackson, Rack, Ellen Cathren, Mary Maude, Martha Mable, Emma Catherine, Lucy Norton and Arsual Annette. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 75 on June 9th, 1962 in Coosa Co., AL. He was buried in Sears Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery about a mile north of Rockford, Coosa Co., AL.1 1 General Notes
