Elvonea V. Logan

Elvonea V. was born on May 26th, 1839 in Coosa Co., AL.¹   Elvonea V.'s father was H. Alexander Logan and her mother was Martha Ann Smith.  Her paternal grandparents were James Ellis M. Logan and Mary (?); her maternal grandparents were James Alfred Smith and Hannah Parker. She had two brothers and four sisters, named John Arron, James Alexander, Elizabeth Jane, Mary, Nancy and Martha Ann.  She was the youngest of the seven children. She had six half-brothers and three half-sisters, named William Lyons Yancy, Joseph Atison, John Henry, Sr., Neal Archibald, Jefferson Alabama, Henry Alexander, Sarah Isabella, Malinda Francis and Tabitha Ann.  She died at the age of 32 on June 27th, 1871 in Hanover, Coosa Co., AL.  She was buried in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, located at Hanover, Coosa County, AL..^1 1 

‌Elvonea V. and Andrew Jackson were married in a religious ceremony on July 28th, 1858 in Coosa County, AL.¹   They had two sons and a daughter, named James Alexander, Henry and Mary Amanda.
