Can you place these LOGAN's from Coosa Co.?
My husband's great uncle was Stewart/Stuart A. LOGAN, the son of Neil A.
LOGAN and Delilah DARDEN of Coosa Co. AL. I don't know who Neil and
Delilah's parents were. NEIL ?NATHANIEL? A. LOGAN1 was born Abt. 1850 in
AL, and died Unknown in ?. He married (1) DELILAH DARDEN Abt. 1878 in
Coosa Co, AL. He married (2) BURNETT1 Aft.
1889.

Funeral arrangement of S. A. Logan, 61-year-old veteran peace officer and
Lawton justice of the peace, were incomplete Monday night awaiting word
from relatives. Justice Logan died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday in his apartment
at 11 1-2 D avenue of a heart ailment. He had been ill most of the day
Sunday but became critical shortly before his death. He survived a heart
attack two years ago to continue his work as justice of the peace. He was
seeking his fourth term in the Democratic primary which will occur July
14. Justice Logan was born at Decatur, Texas, Feb. 17, 1881. He moved
later to Howe, Texas, with his parents before coming to Lawton in 1901.
He remained here five years, moving to Sherman, Texas, where he became a
peace officer, serving in that capacity until 1916 when he returned to
Lawton. Since then, he has served as police officer and constable and was
elected justice of the peace six years ago. He was never married. The
police officer lost his right arm with a bootlegger here several years
ago while attempting to serve a search warrant. Survivors include two
brothers, W. A. Logan Indiahoma; and C. A. Logan, Concorn, Calif.; one
sister, Mrs. W. S. Stewart, West Fork, Ark.; a nephew, State Sen. Bill
Logan, now attending law school at the University of Colorado at Boulder
and other relatives.

Logan Service Scheduled Friday
Funeral services for S. A. Logan, Lawton justice of the peace, will be
held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Ritter Funeral home chapel, with Roy
Stafford, law minister of the Church of Christ, officiating. The county
court house will be closed from 9:30 a.m. until noon for the services.
Peace officers of the county were selected as bearers for the services.
They will be Police Chief A. B. Bowling, Sheriff Skinny Tomlinson,
Constable Fred G. Dotson, Constable C. A. Amburgey, Undersheriff Joe
Cable and City Patrolman Ernest Provine. Word was received Tuesday from
C. A. Logan, Concord, Calif., a brother and Mrs. W. S. Stewart, West
Fork, Ark., a sister, indicating that they would be here for the
services. Justice Logan died suddenly Sunday night of a heart ailment.
Burial will be in Highland cemetery with Mr. Stafford in charge of the
committal rites.
