Mary Amanda Miller 
Mary Amanda was born on March 15th, 1862 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Mary Amanda's father was Andrew Jackson Miller and her mother was Elvonea V. Logan. Her paternal grandparents were John McBride, Sr. Miller and Martha Ann Gibson; her maternal grandparents were H. Alexander Logan and Martha Ann Smith. She had two brothers named James Alexander and Henry. She was the second oldest of the three children. She died at the age of 74 on March 23rd, 1936 in Coosa, AL. She was buried in Poplar Springs Cemetery, Coosa County, AL.1 1 General Notes

On 14 Feb 1998 Annye Pearle told me via phone that she called Mary Amanda
Miller - Miss Mandy.
"Mr. George's wife was Miss Clara, my teacher in the seventh grade. They
had one son George Jr., whom Mamma always pointed out to me as a model of
good manners; and the reason he had such good manner, Mamma said, was
that Professor Jim Miller's sister, an unmarried lady, Miss Mandy, lived
with Mr. George and Miss Clara and taught George Jr. his polite ways."
