Miller.
1870 Federal Census of Rockford Beat, Coosa Co., AL records her living
with a C. G. Miller on 2 Aug 1870. C. G. Miller may be her Grandson,
Charles Miller. However, it should be noted that in the same Census on 6
Jul 1870 Charles Miller is living with his father, J. M. C. Miller. Did
Charles get married in less than a month and moved out?
Susannah Gibson’s Will (1)
The State of Alabama
Coosa County} In the name of God -
Amen
I, Susannah Gibson of Said State and County, being of sound mind and
memory do hereby make and declare the following to be my last will and
testament, and hereby revoke all others heretofore made by me, to with,
First, At my death I resign my soul to God who give it, and my body to
the dust from whence it came,
Second. After my death, I desire that my body be decently buried, and
my last resting place marked by some suitable and plain but durable slab
of marble or granite, and the expenses of which, paid out of my estate,
after which, I will and bequeath to my beloved daughter Martha Miller,
wife of John M. C. Miller, one hundred and fifty dollars in money to be
paid out of my estate, and all other money, notes, accounts, or other
personal property (except wearing apparel and bed and bed clothing and
furniture) I will and bequeath to my beloved daughter Mary Miller, widow
of James Miller deceased, and my wearing apparel and bed clothing and
furniture I will and bequeath to my said daughters Martha and Mary to be
as equally as possible divided between them.
Third. I hereby appoint my beloved daughter Mary Miller my Executrix to
execute this my last will and testament, and desire that she shall not be
required to give hand as said Executrix, nor be required to do anything
with my estate in the Probate Court, after this my last will and
testament is duly admitted to probate as my last will and testament,
Signed and published this the fourth day of August AD 1874.
