John William, Jr. Bridges 
John William, Jr. was born on April 30th, 1915 in Downsville, Union Parish, LA.1 John William, Jr.'s father was John William Bridges and his mother was Stella Skains. His paternal grandparents were William Bridges and Delila Jane Jacks; his maternal grandparents were Thomas A. Skains and Bertha Honeycutt. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Thomas Alvin, Binford, Moody, Myrtle, Trudy S., Marzie Cordie, R. V., Foye, Neola Gray and Janie Ophilia. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. He had three half-brothers named Ocie Lafayette, Lonnie Howard and William Archie. He died at the age of 4 on August 1st, 1919 in Downsville, Union Parish, LA. He was buried in Mt. Nebo Methodist Ch. Cemetery, north of Downsville, Union Parish, LA.1 1 General Notes
