Binford Bridges 
Binford was born on March 7th, 1920 in Downsville, Union Parish, LA.1 Binford's father was John William Bridges and his mother was Stella Skains. His paternal grandparents were William Bridges and Delila Jane Jacks; his maternal grandparents were Thomas A. Skains and Bertha Honeycutt. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Thomas Alvin, John William, Jr., Moody, Myrtle, Trudy S., Marzie Cordie, R. V., Foye, Neola Gray and Janie Ophilia. He was the second youngest of the eleven children. He had three half-brothers named Ocie Lafayette, Lonnie Howard and William Archie. He died at the age of 82 on July 7th, 2002 in Baton Rouge, LA. He was buried on July 10th, 2002 in Mt. Nebo Methodist Ch. Cemetery, north of Downsville, Union Parish, LA.1 1 General Notes
