Maurice the Valiant de Berkeley was born in 1330. Maurice the Valiant de Berkeley's father was Thomas de Berkeley the Rich Lord Berkeley and his mother was Margaret de Mortimer. His paternal grandparents were Sir Maurice de Berkeley Lord Berkeley and Eva la Zouche; his maternal grandparents were Sir Roger de Mortimer Earl of March and Joan de Geneville. He had a half-brother named Sir John. He died at the age of 38 on June 8th, 1368.
